Survivor Services LOSS (Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors) Team A first responder volunteer service designed to bring support to suvivors immediately following the loss of thier loved one. This program is coordinated with the Pennington County Sheriff's Department.
Suicide Awareness Walk-A-Thon Annual suicide awareness walk held on the Saturday of the weekend before Mother's Day weekend in May. The walk is a time for survivors to walk in memory of someone they lost while helping to raise awareness.
Recovering From Suicide Grief Support Group A six-week support group for those who have lost a family member, friend, or colleague to suicide. The group is facilitated by a professional clinician and provides education, support, and other resources specific to suicide grief and loss.
Survivors of Suicide Broadcast A national telecast held across the country on the National Survivors of Suicide Day, sponsored by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. The local telecast and suicide support program is held annually at Rapid City Regional Hospital.
Life Keeper Quilt A service designed to support the development and display of of the lifekeeper quilt for the purpose of suicide awareness and to memoralize loved ones lost to suicide. Click here for additional information.
